Abbeydale Squash and Fitness Club is a welcoming and friendly environment dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and community. Our facilities include a reception area, changing rooms, six squash courts, an interactive court, a gym, and a functional suite.

We pride ourselves on creating a supportive atmosphere for all members and staff.

Gym Instructor/ Pilates Instructor

A Fitness Instructor is responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent member experience while promoting the facilities and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.In additional Fitness Instructors, will be asked to cover Fitness Classes. Opportunity to hold their own Fitness Class. May be required to staff the Reception desk, open and close the building facility.

Job Role

  • Carry out fitness assessments on members required.
  • Conduct programmes and inductions.
  • Understand and advise members and guests on the correct usage of gym equipment.
  • Delivery of classes/cover classes.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of gym and reception.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the gym facilities.
  • Adhere to all  health and safety regulations.
  • Staffing the Reception desk as required.
  • Provide an adequate staff coverage.
  • Open/Closure of the building.

Cleaner/Reception dual 

The Receptionist is the first point of contact all club members, prospective club members and visitors. The Receptionist should be polite, professional and positive at all times and ensure that their conduct gives a good impression of the club and what it has to offer.

Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitising, changing rooms, and common areas, ensuring that all spaces meet health and safety standard.

This split roll will require for the successful candidate to be available to open in the mornings.

Job Role

  • Open, and check building for fire, hygiene, trip hazzards.
  • Respond to all email enquries in a professionally friendly manner.
  • Take card payment over the counter for shop products, membership fees.
  • Ensure all required software is open and ready.
  • Use google calander to book inductees and members for inductions and programmes.
  • Polite, helpful, positive attitude.
  • Follow and adhere to COSHH regulations and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Strong attention to details and the ability to work independently.
  • Good time management and punctuality.
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending and sweeping.
